Pierre Bonnefille invents colors, textures and polychrome wall compositions that echo nature and the transformations it undergoes with the passing seasons.
A recent graduate of the Ecole Boulle and the Arts Décoratifs de Paris, pFrench painter and colorist,Pierre Bonnefille openshis own workshop. For more than 25 years, he has been juxtaposing colors and working the material by digging into it, like a metallic, mineral and vegetable skin. The result? Perpetual modulations of light, color and space. The pigments he uses, sourced from the four corners of the world, are chosen according to the location where they will be applied, to play with space and create a unique luminous harmony.
In 2010, he was named Maître d'Art by Frédéric Mitterrand, Minister of Culture and Communication.
His clients include Café Marly, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Christie's and Cartier in Shanghai.
