Full metal brothers
Under the name Curtis Jeré actually hides a duo of artists, Kurt Freiler and Jerry Fels are brothers-in-law, the first is German, the second American.
Together they founded Artisan House in 1964, which quickly became an influential name thanks to their collections of lighting and wall decorations.
From Los Angles, Fels took over artistic direction, while Freiler oversaw production until his death in 2013.
Curtis Jeré's multi-dimensional metal creations by Artisan House remain treasures sought after by vintage art dealers and collectors to this day.
The artistic duo draw their inspiration from nature and geometry, which they transform into sculptures of bronze, brass, copper, steel or aluminum.
