DEEPTI is a clothing line halfway between craft and industrial.
After graduating from Central Saint Martins in 2005 with a degree in menswear, Deepti Barth joined Carol Christian Poell, with whom she worked until 2012. At the same time, she developed an interest in photography and video production, exploring shadow, light and transgression, recurring themes in her work - the "Transgression" exhibition is offered exclusively at LECLAIREUR.
The German-Argentinian designer presents her first menswear collection in Paris, for the 2014-2015 season.
Deepti's wardrobe brings together exclusive materials, assembled using new techniques, including the use of pure liquid silver, mixed with wool, to create a material that oxidizes over time. Deepti Barth also molds garments, instead of sewing them, by passing them through a unique fabric vulcanization system.
