At "Milan Design Week" 2015, Editamateria presents The Blowing Man, a limited edition collection of 5 pieces in hand-blown borosilicate glass designed by Antonio Aricò. Antonio tells us a story through his poetic, dreamlike interpretation of the art of glassblowing; he wanted to place the "Man", the "Creative Protagonist" and the "Creator" at the center of attention. The Blowing Man tells the story of a glassblower, and is told by the object itself. It's not just a project linked to the concept of aesthetics and functionality. Editamateria's new collection becomes a theater where "the man" is once again the protagonist with the object, and through the object itself, in a play of light and shadow, it highlights skilled manual work through the poetry of delicate gestures like breaths.
