GLAS ITALIA - Water and light

On the occasion of the Maison & Objet show, Leclaireur exhibits in its space on rue Boissy d'Anglas a series of pieces signed GLAS Italia, some of which are among the most exclusive of the brand.

GLAS Italia was founded in 1970 in Macherio, north of Milan, with the declared aim of sublimating glass and playing with the transparency of a material that is both noble and popular. The company surrounds itself with renowned designers and master glassmakers working with the material using ancestral techniques that they combine with technological innovations.

The HYPERtable in glass, designed by Mario Bellini, is made of incredibly light crystal plates, all beveled in different ways. Crossed by asymmetrical lines, the HYPERtable plays on surface volumes, irregular shapes and reflections, like a multi-faceted trompe-l'oeil. Three copies are available exclusively at Leclaireur Boissy d'Anglas.

The coffee table series Fountainseries of coffee tables, designed by Tokujin Yoshioka, are waterfalls frozen in handmade Murano crystal. They evoke the poetry of a body of water reflected by the sun.

La Glass Shelves #1 is a historic creation from 1976, designed by the great master Shiro Kuramata, representative of Japanese postmodern design and recognized as one of the great designers of the 20th century.

This bookcase is made of a transparent crystal, without the addition of any external element. It is composed of multiple squares of the same dimensions, in a pure style, offering order and measure.

Glass tables Specchio di Veneredesigned by Massimiliano Locatelli, offer an organic style, enhanced by silver legs that support them in an almost liquid form.
