In 1979, Ridley Scott, then virtually unknown, released Alien - The Eighth Passenger on the big screen. For months, while his heroine, Sigourney Weaver, thrilled audiences, his creature thrilled theaters. In 2017, six films later, the same Ridley Scott delivers Alien: Covenant. The costumes, hand-sewn, are signed Craig Green himself, named British menswear designer of the year last January.

Military inspiration is at the heart of Craig Green's approach. It finds its extension here, almost logical, when associated with a technical jacket Boris Bidjan Saberi and a sweater Ann Demeulemeester with clean lines, a bag Katsuyukikodama on the back, light as a feather, ideal cocoon to carry his personal belongings and move from one world to another.

With the talent of designers such as Juun J and Rick OwensWith a parachute-type coat with large pockets for one, and high-waisted shorts for the other, fashion combines aesthetics and functionality, and conquers a world where style and intelligence obviously go hand in hand.

Why such an inspiration for our June editorial? At Leclaireur, we trust the light, we look for it, even in the most obscure contexts. It's hard to resist the legendary saga, initiated almost 40 years ago, and perpetuated by masters of the genre, including James Cameron, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, David Fincher, excuse the pun. And the costumes of Craig GreenThe costumes by Craig Green, worn by Michael Fassbender and Katherine Waterston, are remarkable, like almost everything the young London designer produces.

Pushing the limits. Cutting off breath only to take it back. For decades, Leclaireur has enjoyed connecting designers who are able to explore the boundaries of creation and break new ground.
