Paul Poiret is one of those names that made fashion. At the start of the 20th century, he was one of the first - alongside Madeleine Vionnet - to free women from the corset. He then became a pioneer of the feminine emancipation movement that was to follow, giving back its power to the female body, celebrating its forms and its natural grace.
Today Poiret is reborn, without Paul, but with two women at its head: Anne Chapelle, as CEO, and Yiquing Yin, as artistic director. Together, she imagines a fashion that accompanies the woman, and puts herself at her service. Translating the codes of the creator in a contemporary language, sometimes daring, always refined.
