In February, Moncler announced a drastic change of strategy, closing its two lines Bleu and Red to create a new one: Moncler Genius. A collaborative project inviting eight renowned designers to re-imagine the house's flagship pieces for as many capsules during the season. On August 27, the third part of this play in eight acts opens, this one directed by Craig Greenand available for ten days only.

Inspired by the world around him, the British designer poses as a witness to the human condition, which he infuses into collections between protection and function. He invents a new language between the body and its envelope that he declines in sculptural lines, with utilitarian accents.

During the presentation of Moncler Geniushe gave the down jacket a new dimension with silhouettes that look like inflatable objects like life jackets or lifeboats, going beyond the limits of his first collaboration with the brand. The extreme volumes are enclosed by padded ties that add to the complexity of each piece, covering the entire body like an incredibly light futuristic armor.

From there, a more everyday collection emerges, infused with the Craig Green aesthetic. Long, short, sleeveless and t-shirt down jackets, bags, come in sober black, white, khaki and navy, with a few touches of red. Jackets and vests play with quilting to create unusual patterns, from an exaggerated logo to stripes. Colossal hoods open in two on the shoulders, a smooth - almost shiny - black fabric reflects the light, giant labels are placed on the heart like patches.
