Born in Austria, Carol Christian Poell now works from Milan in Italy, where he creates pieces as one would write one's biography, bit by bit, emotion by emotion. Far from the seasonal system, Poell creates according to his desires, sharing his avant-garde creations in small productions, in punctual waves.
His creations take on rock accents, sculptural, almost dangerous, concealing a rare meticulousness. His latest pieces play on contrasts and stitching, in white on a black denim, raw, enhanced with industrial elements, as if placed randomly. One pocket is closed by a zipper, another by the ring of a key from the last century.
The industrial meets nature, when Carol Christian Poell works with thick, pure cream leather to create a rugged, streamlined jacket. A taste for the wild that he transposes to his signature shoes: sneakers whose soles have been dipped in rubber, creating impressive runs under the sole of the foot.
