Monse is a New York-based ready-to-wear brand founded in 2015 by Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, and whose first collection was presented during the SS16 season. The house's style leans towards a natural, relaxed sensuality. The central piece of the collections, the shirt is reinterpreted, reworked, thought of as a blouse, an evening dress, as a piece to be worn by day, and right through to the end of the night.
Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim met at Oscar de la Renta, for whom they worked for ten years. They were appointed artistic directors of the house in September 2016.
