The eponymous French luxury house Courrègesfounded by André and Coqueline Courrèges, revolutionized the world of women's ready-to-wear in 1961. The house has a place in fashion history for its visionary style and futuristic designs. Often considered the originator of the miniskirt, it is still known today for its iconic white boots.

Now led by Artistic Director Nicolas Di Felice, who has worked for Louis Vuitton, Dior and Balenciaga, the brand remains true to its avant-garde vision, reviving old favorites such as the miniskirt and minidress from its 1964 collection "The Moon Girl. The brand also offers more original creations such as tank tops with cut-outs and pants.

A well-known brand in the luxury industry, Courrèges shortens lengths and plays with materials and shapes, like its boots and dresses in PVC, to associate white with its famous little white dresses and to exaggerate the color contrasts.

In a cultural revolution, Courrèges wanted to liberate women's bodies: corsets, bras and classic dresses, giving way to combi-shorts, puffy suits and pants... His creations are very popular and have earned him the infatuation of French stars such as Catherine Deneuve, Brigitte Bardot or Françoise Hardy.

Directed by a creative and visionary couple, the famous fashion house of the same name was taken over in 2011 by the entrepreneurial duo Jacques Bungert and Frédéri Toloting.

A choice made by Coqueline Courrèges that had surprised, since big names in luxury, including LVMH and PPR, had positioned themselves on the project.
"It was she who chose us. She wanted to meet with us after an editorial we had written in the magazine press on brands and their strength"said Jacques Bungert.
Indeed, Coqueline Courrèges had taken over the reins of the company in 1995 when her husband retired from the business, having never wanted to make the label a "fashionable" brand. She wanted a "house of style and design" explained the duo.

"You have to distinguish between style and fashion.Fashion changes, style is what perpetuates itself over time and whose personality is recognized."André Courrèges

Values and a line of conduct that the new owners respect and follow to the letter.

The staff, manufacturing, production as well as the interior design office of about 10 people, still called "Atelier design André Courrèges" have been retained.

"We did not want to call on a designer in vogue," explained Frederic Toloting. Despite its successor the house Courrèges wants to continue to cultivate its differences and says reject the star system. The fashion designer André Courrèges has never used celebrities to "embody" or "represent" his brand and has always claimed to want to create a fashion for "all women".

Courrèges has been able to offer timeless collections with a unique perspective that leaves its mark on the times.
