Comme des Garçons Man Plus and the House of Fornasetti have joined forces to make the spring/summer 2017 a season full of poetry, all in transparencies and graphic elements, brightened up by the Italian designer's pictorial facetiousness.

For over 40 years, Rei Kawakubo has been pushing the boundaries of fashion. Once again, the Japanese designer is not breaking the rule by uniting, for the duration of a collection, clothing and design. She associates to her creations the motifs that made Piero Fornasetti famous, red and black polka dots, suns, and even the multiplied faces of the soprano Lina Cavalieri, whose beauty inspired the Italian designer so much that he produced more than 350 variations, on plates, glasses, candlesticks... These faces colonize today suit jackets, shirts, t-shirts, and even pants, creating countless optical illusions.

FornasettiFornasetti, the king of trompe l'oeil, finds in this spring/summer 2017 collection something to feed his legend, and to highlight the richness of a work to which Martine and Armand Hadida have dedicated a boundless passion for more than twenty years, illustrated by the exclusive collection of objects and furniture displayed in the Los Angeles space.

Behind the latex capes or PVC trench coats, Fornasetti prints seem to emerge from a half-awake dream, one that eternal dreamers, like Piero Fornasetti and his son Barnaba now, know better than anyone.
