In this effervescent autumn, let's focus on some young brands that make our hearts beat faster: Aalto, BESFXXK, Blindness and Rokh.
And because first times feed the imagination and excite our spirits, let's take the opportunity to shine the spotlight on Juun J's very first women's collection, as well as on Preen, and Andy Wolf, available at Leclaireur... for the first time.
Y/Project and Balenciaga, respectively represented by Glenn Martens, Grand Prix de l'ANDAM 2017, and Demna Gvasalia, International Ready-to-Wear Designer 2016, are also in the show.
A fresh wind is blowing through Fall-Winter 2017.

Aalto

"From Finland to Paris". Or the marriage between the sensitive energy of a designer from the far north and French sophistication. Colorful prints, lambskin jacket, calf leather boots, Tuomas Merikoski takes us on an unconventional and very dynamic retro-futuristic field.

Preen

Recently discovered, Preen is a Leclaireur exclusive in Paris. Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzy share a love for the Victorian era, which is fully visible in this brand's collections. The springtime patterns of a silk dress are paired here with a draped skirt. Layering today, and forever.

BESFXXK

The intelligence of their creations, transformable at will, is palpable, like this trench coat, whose detachable sleeves and volume offer to the silhouettes a raw energy, almost primitive. Jae Lim and Bona Kim marry the military functional to a British costume heritage, through a deconstruction work that pushes to think the garment differently, without gender constraint.

Juun.J

The Korean brand, founded in Paris in 2007, is launching its first women's collection this season. Juun J describes his work as "street tailoring". The designer plays with the ambivalence of the pieces. Here a top halfway between a shirt and a sweater, there a bomber, which can be worn on the shoulder as a backpack. Volume, real volume, for a silhouette anchored in streetwear.

Blindness

Founded in 2013 in Seoul, this Korean brand is all about the androgynous silhouette, with oversized elements and modern cuts. Hosted by Leclaireur in Paris for the seventh edition of the 10 Soul Project, designers Shin Kyu Yong and Ji Sun cite Raf Simons and J.W. Anderson as their main inspirations.

Rokh

"Smart, fragile but confident". Rok Hwang has a very clear vision of the Rokh woman. A graduate of Central Saint Martins, the designer has worked at Celine, Louis Vuitton and Chloé, before founding his brand in 2016, in London. His pieces highlight women's natural allure. Hwang hones a deconstructed style, requiring hundreds of fittings before arriving at the finished piece. Here, a silk shirtdress revealing raw denim that looks like it was cut apart before being sewn back together.
