This year, Martine and Armand Hadida have chosen to present works by Pierre Bonnefille, including a bench from the Metamorphosis series and the Meditation Room, a meditation space like a time capsule, where the works on display are illuminated by a divine light.
They will also present works by Philippe Hiquily, Ado Chale and Sophie Dries, with the ardent desire to encourage creative acts in all their forms.
PIERRE BONNEFILLE
Master of art, Pierre Bonnefille speaks the language of color. His inexhaustible talent is nourished by his travels, inspired by nature, and allows him to create original shades that he works like mineral skins, with infinite richness. Cartier and Christie's have already called upon his talent, recognized from New York to Shanghai, via Paris.
PHILIPPE HIQUILY
The bronze and copper sculptures of this French artist, who died in 2013, explore balance and movement. Close to Man Ray, Max Ernst and George Bataille, Philippe Hiquily also crossed paths with great names in American art, including Leo Castelli, Jasper Jones and James Rosenquist. His works have already found their way into the collections of the MOMA and the Guggenheim in New York, the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, the Musée d'Art Contemporain de Montréal and the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris.
ADO CHALE
A self-taught artist, Ado Chale discovered mineralogy during a trip to Germany in the 1950s. Since then, he has been making resin furniture, inlaid with semi-precious stones - agate, lapis lazuli or turquoise - as well as bronze tables with a radiant pattern. Today he is one of the most highly rated Belgian artists.
SOPHIE DRIES
Sophie Dries creates primitive ceramics with clean lines, and metal vases that play on the contrasts between textures, materials and techniques used. She has also launched a limited edition furniture line, first unveiled in Milan at Salone Del Mobile 2016, and at PAD London the same year at the invitation of Leclaireur.
Leclaireur thus asserts its presence in the world of design, and in the United States, after its participation in the PAD Paris and Londonas well as the opening of The Residenceits space in Los Angeles mainly dedicated to... design.
