Noir Kei Ninomiya is a collection for women, born in 2012 from Kei Ninomiya's unfailing love for black.
Since the first day of his fashion studies, at the Royal Academy of Arts in Antwerp, Ninomiya's fascination for Comme des Garçons, for their creative process, so much so that he never ceases to want to get closer to the label. In 2008, at the age of 24, he joined the House as a model and, 4 years later, CDG entrusted him with the Black capsule collection.
If black-ink is its color, its message is more nuanced, more complex too. Ninomiya wants to amaze, add unexpected elements to his collections, like as many surprises that he intended for those who wear them as for those who look at them. The creator explores black by working on a combination of textures, interweaving materials and techniques to enrich his subject matter.
Textures are at the heart of everything for Kei Ninomiya, and the Fall/Winter 2016 collection exemplifies this desire. Checkerboard coats with intertwined leather, mesh or cotton stripes, heavy softness of fur, airy lightness of relaxed mesh... Volumes move away from the body, pants, coats and suit jackets expand.
