If Patti Smith had created clothes, they certainly would havelooks liketo those ofa Belgian designer, present on the Parisian catwalks since 1992.
Poetry, rock, a hint of rebellion, the dark side of assumed life… Ann Demeulemeester is all of these at the same time.
Based in Antwerp since 1985, she has imposed a very intimate vision of fashion. A wardrobe built on black & white bases, overlays, a poetry in shadow and light for Men and Women. Her designs quickly became classics, including her biker jacket and long skirts. In 2014, Ann Demeulemeester left the management of her eponymous house to leave it in the hands of Sébastien Meunier, her right-hand man in charge of the Men's collection since 2010.
