ZIMMERMANN - An Australian Summer

ZIMMERMANN - An Australian Summer - LECLAIREUR

Two women are hiding behind ZimmermannNicole and Simone. Two sisters, originally from Australia, who share the same family name, which became the brand's name in 1991. The style Zimmermann style combines the strength and fluidity of the bond that two sisters can share, to live a spring-summer 2018 in the city as well as on the sea.

While swimwear remains their original signature, the ultra-feminine ready-to-wear line has been courting and impressing front-rows for several seasons now. With flamenco ruffles, puffed sleeves and polka-dot patterns on skirts, airy dresses, the latest collection Painted Heart Resort is an invitation to visit the south of Spain, and to dance the Sevillana.

The shoulders, often bare, and the deep necklines, evoke one of those postcard summers of the 1930s. The Zimmermann sisters invoke the ethereal spirit of an artist mourning a lost love as their main inspiration, highlighted by the printed hearts offering a sentimental note to this collection of silhouettes with assumed lines and cuts.

It was in the markets of Sydney that Nicole Zimmermann was noticed, selling the dresses she designed and created herself. Vogue Australia devoted two pages to her, enough for all the stores in the country to be interested in her creations. She then opened a small boutique and joined forces with her sister Simone who brought her commercial skills with her. Each collection, presented since then during the New York Fashion Week, is distinguished by the love that the two sisters share for colors and prints, rewarded by numerous awards.
