On February 13, 2017 in New York, Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia unveil the collection fall-winter 2017 collection from Monse. Bare shoulders, cascades of ruffles on the chest and drooping sleeves ... a deconstructed shirt with the air of floral origami opens the ball. The lines intersect in a game of opposing forces, offering the silhouette a cerebral purity. This work on shirts, the very signature of Monses own signature, finds its extension in their reinterpretation of the suit jacket: the subtle enhancement of a feminine look transcended by the accuracy of the materials.
