June 2017, Juun.J presented its collection spring/summer 2018 at Paris Fashion Week, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Korean brand. Well known for its willingness to break codes, to transcend traditional forms, Juun.J is focusing its "Expand and Contract" collection around the shirt, with the aim of creating silhouettes with different sculptural expressions.
The collection presents different pieces of a classic wardrobe, from bombers to shirts to suit jackets to parkas, revisited and transformed to create new silhouettes anchored in their time. The shirt is draped over dresses, inside a pencil skirt with fine stripes, tucked into pants, shaped with off-the-shoulder sweaters or sculpted onto bodies with tight knits or belted bags.
Oversized shirts emphasize this idea of "expansion" and "contraction," characteristic of a collection aimed at both men and women. Some silhouettes display different messages embroidered on the garment, on a blouse for example: "Life opportunities expand and contract", a message conveyed on minimalist tones, except for the final look - a pleated dress in a dark orange tone. As for his previous collections, the Korean designer works with the gender border and delivers a collection with a strong androgynous character.
