The works ofAristide Najean evoke a paradise of blown glass, a flora, a bestiary with naïve contours and curved forms, that one would think escaped from a painting of Chagall. Through his mastery of the material, acquired alongside master glassmaker Mario Badioli, he crystallizes a world of dreams in a thousand colors. Aristide Najean uses ancestral techniques, thus perpetuating a secular tradition still prevalent on the island of Murano, north of Venice, famous throughout the world for the artistic work of its glassblowers. Wall lights in the shape of bull's headof a bull's head, of unicornwith gilding, like thetable lamps with organic forms, and its baroque chandelierslike cascades of glass, are the signature of an artist whose love affair with glass began more than thirty years ago, in 1986, and continues to this day.
